Electronics and Telecommunication :
HISTORY
 This
department was started in 1984 as the department of
Electronics engineering. It was converted to Electronics and
Telecommunication in the year 2001 with a total intake of
120 students to remain synchronised with the modern trend of
requirements at present and in the forseeable future. The
change has received a very welcome response overall.
The department has a large faculty comprising of
senior experienced staff alongwith young and
energetic members, all fully devoted to their common goal of
providing the best possible and effective education and
training to students. Experts and consultants from the
industry are also invited regularly to deliver lectures for
specialised subjects.

 The
department has the following fully equipped and functional
major laboratories:

Each laboratory caters for the courses as per
the requirements of the particular semester.
 The
department also has softwares like MATLAB, EDWIN, XILINX,
DSP development tools, Image Analysis software etc. which
provide an integrated environment for academic and
experimental activities.
ACADEMICS
 The
teaching faculty is well qualified and is professionally
competent with proven industrial exposure.Our results are
consistent and excellent.Most of our student’s projects are
sponsored by recognized industries.
Design LabINDUSTRIAL
VISITS
 The
department arranges industrial visits to nearby places for
the benefit of students to make them aware of the current
status in their field of specialisation. Recent visits to
VSNL at Arvi and GMRT have been exceptionally appreciated by
the students.

 The
department encourages and motivates its faculty to enhance

Many of our students have gone for higher studies abroad by
obtaining excellent scores in competitive exams like GRE,
TOEFL etc. Students have also participated and won prizes in
various activities like paper presentation, robotics,
debates etc.
EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
Our students have participated and won prizes in different
inter-college sports such as volleyball, cricket etc. They
have also shown active participation in contests like drama
competition, music and others. The students have also
successfully organised events like Cronos,Electronz, guest
